Why we built YallaSawa
It started with a simple frustration: trying to watch a مسلسل on Shahid with friends who live in different cities. The "3, 2, 1, play!" countdown over a voice call never worked — someone was always a few seconds behind.
Existing solutions were clunky, browser-only, and none of them supported Arabic streaming platforms like Shahid or Watch iT. We wanted something that just works — real sync for the platforms the MENA region actually uses.
So we built YallaSawa — Arabic for "let's go together." The first desktop app that syncs Shahid, Watch iT, and other Arabic platforms in real time. Supports protected content, built-in chat, and automatic latency compensation.
